Labatt donates 70,000 cans of water to Fort McMurray relief effort

May 5th, 2016  |  Canadian Business

Emergency crews and private citizens aren’t the only ones doing what they can to aid the thousands of people displaced by the Fort McMurray wildfire.

In a press release earlier this week, the company announced that 69,000 cans of fresh drinking water were shipped to Edmonton to aid both the brave men and women fighting the out of control blaze  and those who have been forced out of their homes by it. In addition to the first shipment, the company said they have an additional 131,000 ready to go if needed.

Labatt’s emergency water supply is packaged and stored in its hometown London, Ontario under the company’s Canadian Disaster Relief Program. As one of Canada’s oldest companies, it’s great to see them stepping up to provide tangible support to those in need.
