August 11th, 2012  |  Insurance

No matter where you are driving, road safety should always be a concern. Whether you are driving on a country road, the 401, or in a busy city, you need to be on alert at all times. The second you let your guard down is when accidents occur.

Driving in the city requires drivers to be on alert every second they are behind the wheel. You never know when something will pop out in front of you. City driving requires extra care because there are more than just other vehicles on the road to watch out for.

Drivers need to be aware of:

  • Pedestrians

  • Children at play in residential areas

  • Motorcycles/mopeds

  • Construction and school zones

  • Bikes/rollerblades/skateboarders

  • Animals

  • Public transportation vehicles

  • Emergency vehicles
